Day 81 - water and song
Nothing to see here, move along. There were only 4 celebrations listed for today and I only found an extra 2 so this will be brief.
It was World Water Day, a chance to consider whether you're wasting it and whether you're drinking enough of it. My celebrations included drinking extra during the day and the really lucky water got to be heated up and poured over freeze dried coffee. I'm sure that there was more to be done but today just felt very rushed to be honest.
As Old As You Feel Day was confusing. It's meant to be about celebrating a youthful spirit (I think) but my head still thinks I'm 18. I still want to listen to the music I listened to back then and do the stuff I did but knowing that I have so much more which needs doing as well, how to fit it in? And when you realise that your body doesn't feel the same way it isn't as fun as it could be. I'm due to play in a hockey tournament in a few weeks but I'm already feeling the ache before it's even begun!
Sing Out Day had potential as I love singing (whilst obviously accepting my limitations!) I sang along to songs where I could but little Maggie mostly asked for Postman Pat or for me to stop. She does that a lot. There wasnt enough time to annoy the neighbours with my Ronan Keating impression. Maybe next time.
Lastly it was We Love Broccoli Day, a day created by the same people as St Broccoli's Day. I ate some broccoli.
I warned you that there wasn't anything to see at the beginning so don't blame me. Hopefully tomorrow will be more fun as I've made Melba Toast for lunch. (That's not a sentence I've used before).
