Day 211 - Spiderman, Spiderman, does what ever a spider can...

Today was the first day of my holiday, most of it was spent in the car driving through Wales so you'd expect that I wouldn't get much celebrating done wouldn't you. Wrong! I actually managed to squeeze a few in today.

Firstly it was Scout Scarf Day so I had an excuse to get out an old neckerchief. I had a choice between a blue one from scouts or a red, white and green one from venture scouts. I plumped for the latter and wore it with pride. My better half was slightly embarrassed by this but it was actually a sensible choice as Aberystwyth was quite windy.

Spiderman Day was also celebrated with clothes. I wore my Spiderman socks and my youngest wore her Spiderman costume. She loved the outfit, inherited from both her brothers. It was also World Wide Web Day today, I don't know if it's a coincidence. My web work consisted of tweeting pictures of my exploits and playing a quiz (HQ - sign up now! It's good fun.) I thought about maybe watching the latest film but I ran out if time.

Rounds Resounding Day was almost fun. It's about singing rounds so as we were all sat in a car for hours it was a chance to sing witb the kids. Unfortunately we didn't all know the words to any and when we did find one we could all sing, we kept singing in sync rather than off set so it didn't work. Oh well, we tried.

Yorkshire Day was surprisingly popular, they were talking about it a lot on the radio. Talk if puddings and flat caps mainly. Even the quiz I mentioned earlier referenced it. I went with Yorkshire tea. I don't mind tea although I find it goes best with fish and chips or a Full English.

Finally I had help today from my Mum. It was Homemade Pie Day so she cooked up an apple pie for pudding. Yum. The kids wouldn't try it, weirdos. They stuck to the custard on it own. Tomorrow will be a chance to try making ice cream sandwiches. That'll be a new experience.
