Day 223 - Goofy prosecco drinking

When did prosecco become so popular?  Fizzy wine used to be about Champagne, anything else was just called brut or something like that. Martini then did a fizzy option but up popped Prosecco and now it's everywhere. Today was Prosecco Day but I had taxi duties so didn't get a chance to crack it open until gone 10pm. It was a right job getting the cork out but a little effort went a long way. Cold, crisp and fizzy. It doesn't have that strong a flavour really. I did think about maybe turning it into a cocktail but time was against me.

In honour of Left Handers Day I drank my prosecco left handed. That used to be a rule in drinking games back in the day, is it still a thing? I'm told that I used to be left handed when I was young but I changed due to my finger nail going septic. Now I'm what is technically known as cack handed. Why do we have left and right handed? What's that all about? Based on the Twitter comments, Ned Flanders seems to be the most famous left hander around.

It was also Filet Mignon Day but that was never going to happen. Hopefully tomorrow will have a few more celebrations to keep you interested.  TTFN.
